PostHeaderIcon Britney Spears Workout Routine and Diet

Britney Spears is among the most popular female superstars of all time.

I’m going to profile the Britney Spears workout and diet for two reasons.  First, she’s turning 30 this year (hard to believe, right?) and also has never looked better.  Not to mention she has a couple of little ones.   Secondly, she didn’t always look this great.  She has had some highly publicized troubles with weight gain in the past, but has since addressed them and gotten back in incredible shape.  This is important because a lot of viewers can identify with this.  Many of the hollywood routines I’ve talked about display a near faultless lifestyle right from the start.  It’s never like this for all people.

Back in 2007, Britney struggled with uncontrolled eating.

After losing custody of her children, she looked to burgers, chips, candy, and other sweet treats and allegedly got up to 160 lbs.  To place this in perspective, she’s 5-4, which means this definitely placed her in the overweight Body mass index category.  She experimented with taking diet pills and diuretics, although as we all know, this is not a healthy solution to losing weight.  Of course it didn’t help that she wasn’t a fan of fruits and vegetables.  This can be understandable.  There was a point when I didn’t enjoy fruits and vegetables either, but since I started eating them routinely, they’ve grown on me.  She also drank a lot which wasn’t helping her situation.

Since that time, she’s cleaned up her diet significantly.

She now eats five small daily meals.  These meals are nutritious, modest in size, and high in protein.  An example is something like eggs or grilled chicken.  She has additionally eliminated liquid calories.  This includes liquor which is critical because excess alcohol consumption suppresses fat burning.  She also has avoided drinks like Starbucks frappuccinos which can be a few hundred calories a piece.  This can be like the equivalent of a scheduled meal!  Getting rid of beverages like this is a simple fix for a person who has them on a regular basis.   As a substitute, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with Stevia, cinnamon, and cream for under 100 calories.  She also replaced sugary juices with raw fresh fruits, which are far better for you.  She currently keeps a 1,500 calorie per day eating plan 6 days per week and a cheat day once a week.

Britney’s main training regimen is very simple.

She enjoys working out, seeing it as a “spiritual thing”.  Since she travels a lot, she performs quite a bit of cardio on the treadmill machine no less than every other day and sometimes daily.  She also utilizes some mild strength training.  Before her latest tour, she amped up her exercise routine by incorporating several hours of dancing every day.  Without question, the metabolic benefit of this helped her burn far more calories and get slimmer even faster.  Dance is among the finest exercises that you can do to boost your metabolic rate since it taxes your entire body.  This is another illustration of how superstars endure prolonged, rigorous training in prep for a role or occasion.  Most women wouldn’t have enough time to do this and would benefit more from a workout routine which utilizes strategic strength training and aerobic exercise for a lean physique such as Visual Impact for Women.
